Honey from flower blossoms

Honey from flower blossoms or so-called flower honey comes from the nectar of spring plants and wildflowers of the mountain as well as the ornamental of various coniferous trees, such as pine, spruce, walnut, heather, teal, ivy. The flower is produced in all regions of Greece from April to August. Its shades, taste and aroma vary depending on the flowers and the production location and may vary from year to year depending on the type of flowering that dominates. Usually the flower is light amber in color and its aroma is intense, pleasant and floral. It also has a mild “sweet” and at the same time extremely rich taste and is therefore characterized as the “sweetest” of all honeys in Greece. It usually crystallizes 6-18 months after its collection. A key feature of the flower honey in addition to the variety of flowers used by the bee for its production is its extensive use.
